The Anticipation Is Killing Us
Derek
and I have been eager to find out our baby’s gender since day one of our
pregnancy! So eager in fact that we always planned on going in early to find
out through Fetal Fotos.
Even
though we are beside ourselves that we were even able to conceive this miracle
baby, we would be lying if we did not admit that we are each hoping for a
certain gender.
Mommy and Daddy’s Preferences and
Predictions
I want a
beautiful baby girl more than I have EVER wanted anything else in my life!
(Other than Derek and getting pregnant in the first place.) And according to
intuition, I have had moments where I have felt like we are having a boy, and
moments where I have felt like we are having a girl—not very helpful.
Derek is
hoping for a little boy so he can be a big brother and protect our daughter(s) and
“because he knows that if we have a girl, Derek will be completely wrapped
around her finger.” (That would definitely be the case!) And according to Derek,
he knows through intuition that we are having a girl.
What? The Wait Continues?!
So we had
an appointment for Fetal Fotos on 8-22-15 to finally find out, and we brought
our great friend Devin with us to record our reaction BUT…our child decided to
keep mommy and daddy in suspense just a little longer.
It was
nestled very low in a ball and only using half of the room in mommy’s uterus,
silly baby. And when we gently poked and prodded it to stretch out some, the umbilical
cord was right in front of its baby parts anyway! Our baby is such a tease.
But it
was so fun to see it wiggling all around, what it is looking like, to know that
it is healthy, and hear its heartbeat.
We re-scheduled
another appointment and will hopefully know after an additional long week of
waiting! But before we see what our baby is and reveal its gender to the world,
we wanted to have some fun with some old wives’ tales.

Drum Roll Please...
Is daddy’s
intuition right? And mommy’s hope for a beautiful baby girl going to come true
during this pregnancy? Or will we be blessed with a bouncing baby boy that
